Leads marketing and communications programs by partnering with key executives, customers and agency partners to establish a strategic direction that is aligned with the overall UL Enterprise. Directs the entire marketing communications campaign, including strategy development/planning, identification of insights, selection of most effective vehicles (including newer social media tools), budget management and research/metrics. Oversees day-to-day relationship with selected advertising agencies and/or agency partners. Provides marketing advice and guidance to the organization to ensure overall marketing effectiveness and drives efforts to position UL as the visionary leader and trusted partner with its current and prospective customers.
This role has accountability for leading and coordinating all marketing efforts for International Region (all markets outside of North America). The ability to work effectively in a matrix organization is critical. The International Marketing Director will report to the Vice President of Operational Marketing. They will work closely with the sub-regional GMs/VPs in the region, as well as the General Managers and BU leaders across all Business Units, and will be directly accountable to the President International Region.
